Italy Trip to Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast + Flights

Italy Trip to Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast + FlightsFeel the fresh, Mediterranean breeze through your hair as you drive from Rome to the Amalfi Coast on this nine-day self-guided tour from Great Value Vacations.

The Destination

Rome: the European capital of imperial eminence, ancient art, and old-world culinary custom. You’ll move through the Eternal City in a flash, one moment standing in the long-gone footsteps of ancient gladiators, the next gazing up at Michelangelo’s hallowed frescos in the Sistine Chapel and the baroque brilliance of Saint Peter’s Basilica.

If Rome’s seven hills are the historical seat of power, Italy’s Amalfi Coast is the seat of paradise. Its regal cliffs, flanking the cobalt-blue Tyrrhenian Sea, are a kaleidoscope of Mediterranean color: Lush lemon trees cling to seaside crags, while villages painted shades of pastel and white climb green hills. The villages and towns of Amalfi hold numerous churches, palaces, and villas to explore—and that’s not even counting the cafés, restaurants, and bars where your local seafood or limoncello is served alongside a Mediterranean sea breeze.
